Hub Manager

As a Hub Branch Manager, you will lead a large-scale branch operation responsible for a substantial lending and collections portfolio. You will manage a team of five or more Customer Account Managers and drive scale and performance across all areas of lending, customer service, and compliance. This role demands strategic oversight, commercial acumen, and strong leadership to deliver sustainable business growth while maintaining full regulatory and company compliance. You will act as a key link between branch operations, head office functions, and senior regional management, ensuring that your branch achieves both financial and customer outcomes to the highest standard.

The Role
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to achieve sales, service, and collections targets.
- Oversee staffing levels, resource planning, and succession development to ensure business continuity.
- Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions when required.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and collaboration across the branch.
- Ensure resource planning supports business continuity during holidays and sickness.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee the full lending lifecycle—from origination through to collections—ensuring adherence to credit policies, affordability assessments, and responsible lending practices.
- Manage a large receivables book, maintaining portfolio quality and ensuring effective arrears control.
- Drive operational efficiency and ensure processes are followed consistently across all team members.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service standards.
- Financial Management
- Take full responsibility for branch performance including profit and loss, expense control, and target achievement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lending, collections, and customer outcomes.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with Company policies, FCA regulations, and all relevant standards under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR).
- Uphold the company’s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly and delivering good customer outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate risks within lending and collections activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely records to support audit and compliance reviews.
- Customer Experience
- Promote a customer-centric culture focused on honesty, transparency, and fair outcomes.
- Resolve complex customer issues promptly and in line with regulatory expectations.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and community partners to enhance the company’s reputation.
About you
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in financial services, with specific exposure to lending and collections.
- Proven track record of managing large teams to deliver sustained, high-volume performance, driving operational excellence and sales growth at scale — ensuring each CAM meets or exceeds LPL output expectations and the branch consistently achieves a 120-loan unit target
- An ability to work at pace and manage multiple people and operational demands at any one time
- Strong understanding of branch operations, credit risk, and portfolio management.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work strategically while maintaining focus on daily operational delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with commercial awareness.
